OPEN for the 2021 Season!
We are now open for the 2021 summer season. We are open everyday from 11 am-7 pm from now until Labor Day, September 6, 2021. Please come on out and see our animals, play on our playground equipment and enjoy the Iowa fresh air. Don’t forget that you can rent one or both of our pavilions (call 563-556-7410 for availability and rates). We hope to see you at least once this summer!
Closing for the season August 23
The Storybook Hill Children’s Zoo will close for the season this Sunday, August 23, 2020. We will be open for our normal hours up until and on August 23.
We hope everyone had a little fun outdoors with the animals, playground, and picnic pavilions. We hope to see you all again next summer starting Memorial Day weekend.

We are officially open for our 2019 season. You can come and see us everyday of the summer from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. until Labor Day. And please check out the feature in the Telegraph Herald from yesterday’s newspaper.

As of May 26, 2018, the Storybook Hill Children’s Zoo is open for the season. We will be open everyday from 11 am to 7 pm until Labor Day. Please come on out and see us and the animals for a day in the sun (or even the rain!).
